Our Moon is a natural satellite. Unlike the robotic satellites that send TV signals and science data back to Earth, natural sate

llites were there long before people. We just borrowed the name satellite when we first started launching spacecraft into space.
2 The Moon is smaller than four other moons in our solar system yet is larger than the dwarf planet Pluto. Many spacecraft have been sent to the Moon and 12 astronauts have walked on it. James Lovell, John Young, and Gene Cernan were the most important astronauts to have walked on the moon because they visited twice.

3 What’s it like on the Moon? From the Moon, Earth looks four times bigger than a full Moon. If you looked in the right places on the Moon, you would find pieces of equipment, American flags and even a camera left behind by astronauts.

4 The Moon is covered with craters. Because it has no atmosphere to protect it, space rocks, some as big as mountains, have smashed into it. Tycho Crater is more than 52 miles wide! The Moon's surface is rocky and covered with dust. It looks a lot like the planet Mercury.

5 The Moon's weak gravity means it is easy to move around there, even in a heavy spacesuit. It is impossible for people to explore the Moon without a spacesuit. There is no air, and the radiation from the sun is very dangerous.

6 It gets very hot and very cold on the Moon. When the sun is shining, the Moon sizzles at 265 degrees Fahrenheit (130 degrees Celsius) and when it’s not, it can drop down to 170 degrees Fahrenheit (110 degrees Celsius) below zero.

In this passage the word moon is the title and it is repeated many times. How could repeating a word too often have a negative effect on the reader?
A) The reader could be bored.
B) The reader could be confused.
C) The reader could be overwhelmed by facts.
D) The reader could be skeptical of the information.

Answer:

C) The reader could be overwhelmed by facts.

Explanation:

A) The reader could be bored.

  • This could be true, but it is very vague and may not apply to all audiences.

B) The reader could be confused.

  • Really, repeating the same subject many times should have the opposite effect on the reader. If this answer is talking about the reader being confused by the purpose of the passage, this this is a possible answer, but not likely.

C) The reader could be overwhelmed by facts.

  • If the subject is repeated too many times, the audience is left with, instead of a coherent idea, a string of facts without an obvious purpose. This is very possibly the right answer.

D) The reader could be skeptical of the information.

  • The subject's repetition should have no effect on ethos.

How was Roselle able to help Michael out of the building? Please explain if Roselle was able to help anyone else out as well
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

Roselle was able to help Michael because she was a guide dog and know-how to take Michael in and out of places, besides Michael kept calmed all the time so Roselle could focus on the exit.

Explanation:

On 9/11 Michael was working as in any other normal day in the office, and when he felt that the building was moving he thought it was an earthquake and because his sense of self-control Roselle was able to guide him and his co-worker to the exit without any harm, them both became celebrities. Michael even wrote a book about the event.
