<u>British Influence and effects of British Colonization: </u>

British Empire is the largest empire in world history and has the most important power in the world. British started to setup their power in 16^{th} century, through overseas colonies.

By 1783 Great Britain had a empire with colonies in ''West Indies'' and ''America''. The stumble of the monarchy and kingdom of two pillars of Myanmar's society was the most catastrophic aspect of colonial era.  

<u>Burma connection with Great Britian: </u>

British rule in Burma prolonged from 1824 to 1948 that fluctuated from the Anglo-Burmese war to establish Burma as a British region of India. Burma was named after a British-dominated ethnic group. The name was used as the official name of the country until 1989, when the military decided to replace it in Myanmar.
