The types of figurative language are: "hyperbole and onomatopoeia."

Figurative language is used to force the reader to almost exactly imagine what the reader wants to say. It is also used for verbal games, to add emphasis, for better understanding among other reasons. Some examples of figurative language are the answer:

  • Hyperbole: Uses extreme exaggeration in its words that makes the text a little dramatic and hard to believe what it says. An example of it is: I run 10.000 in 10 minutes to be here with you.
  • Onomatopoeia: It is the sound of the words that suggest the meaning of that same word. For example, I clicked to that button to send the information but nothing happened.
