So essentially you have to find and circle the word that doesn't match the rest

1. Curse: The rest are physical diseases, while a curse is something that is supernatural

2. I don't know why this word is with these other words and I myself am not not to sure about this but I hope this makes somewhat sense. The word that is different should be fingernail, as the epidermis, skin, and cuticle are essentially associated with the epidermis, while the skin is the epidermis plus more.

3. Prologue: The rest are associated with the ending, while the prologue is before the beginning

4. Interrupt: The rest are about peacefully trying to help a conversation or argument while interrupting is different.

5. Immediately: The rest are about a a break between two times, but the word immediately is different.

6. Allegory: The rest are essentially forms of literature and stories while an allegory is a literature device.

7. Exception: The rest are about essentially things that are normal or typical, while an exception is different from the rest.

8. Intersecting: The rest are about equal distance between two things while to intersect is for two things to cross.

9. Locomotion: The rest of the words are about stasis or inactivity while locomotion is about movement

10. Contradict: What the rest have in common is that they are about taking what is given is changing it into a similar, agreeable format, while to contradict would conflict more with the original.

Why are there three lines in each stanza? What could be the purpose of the poet in writing three lines per stanza? (Islands and
Flura [38]

Answer and Explanation:

"Islands and Icebergs" by Ralph Semino Galan is a poem about reading a poem. The speaker asks readers to imagine the paper as being the ocean and the words to be floating on the that ocean. That is a clue as to why he writes three lines per stanza. The length of the lines, along with their number, reminds us of the waves, even the foam, to floats up and down, back and forth, on the ocean. The author wrote three lines per stanza as a way to make the poem itself resemble an ocean, instead of simply asking as to imagine it.
