Sanger Rainsford and his friend Whitney are on a yacht on their way to a hunting expedition.

Before the development of all the story in "the most dangerous game" by Richard Connell, we have this two men that are going in a trip, and where one of them is going to learn a lesson in a hard way, since he is going with the intention of being the hunter but never imagined that in a turn of event he will become the prey.

Answer: Imagery is used in this poem many times. For example, the poem states, "Of the tardy and the soft inrolling tide." this shows imagery because it is showing how the tide is coming in. The tide is described as soft and tardy which is another way it is describing imagery.
