Explanation: The word ''post-racial'' refers to a period or society in which racial discrimination or prejudice doesn’t exist. Obama ran his campaign resembling social movement, thus giving much hope of a non-racial discrimination/prejudice country to many races, especially among African Americans. On November 4th, 2008, Barack Obama was elected the 44th president and became the first African-American chief executive of the United States. People were very hopeful and some strongly believed that America would be post-racial after this historical event.
