Plessey versus Ferguson was a milestone case in the United States, whose ruling upheld the Constitutionality of racial segregation under the “equal but separate “doctrine. According to the case, the whole incident started when a train passenger Homer Plessey refused to board the car of the blacks that was acknowledged as a violation of constitutional rights. The Supreme court ruling implied that the discrimination was not unconstitutional and stated it as the legal distinction.
