Why do you think the democracy of Germany was so fragile?
Step2247 [10]
Germany was already weak due to the fighting in WWI. Germany lost a lot of territory and the financials where catastrophically low. The Treaty of Versailles was so harsh on Germany and the Democratic state was clueless as to how they would solve the crisis. It lacked the leadership and the people where suffering to much to get behind it. I hope I answered your question!

Starting in 1939, any nation fighting in World War II could purchase goods and arms in the United States under the ____ program.
krek1111 [17]

Starting in 1939, any nation fighting in World War II could purchase goods and arms in the United States under the "Lend-Lease" program or act.

Countries such as Britain, China, the Soviet Union, Brazil among others received weapons under this program.

According to the Neutrality Act the U.S can not receive any compensation for the arms. Instead, they covertly were present in the war and defend its own interests by giving arms and other goods to the countries they specifically chose.
