Answer:

Option 2. 1.4 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know when a ball is dropped from a height then we apply the formula

h=ut+\frac{1}{2}gt^{2}

Here h = height from the ground

u = initial speed of the ball

t = time taken to reach the ground

g = acceleration due to gravity

Now we put the values of these parameters

h = 30 feet ≅ 9.144 met.

u = 0

g = 9.8 met/sec²

9.144 = 0 + 1/2×9.8×t²

9.144 = 4.9×t²

t² = 9.144÷4.9

t² = 1.87

t = 1.37 ≅ 1.4 seconds

Therefore option 2 is the answer.

Find the coordinates of the midpoint of LB if L(8,5) and B(-6,2)<br><br> 10 points!!!
KATRIN_1 [288]

Answer:

A, (1, 3+1/2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Midpoint formula for reference: m= {(x1 + x2)/2, (y1 + y2)/2}

Plugging in the points we get: m= {(8 - 6)/2, (5 + 2)/2}

Now we simplify using PEMDAS. First step is parentheses.

m= {2/2, 7/2}

Simplifying again (and making 7/2 a mixed number), it becomes

m= {1, 3+1/2}

Hope this helps!

Draw a model to represent 42/7
ch4aika [34]

Here is a model I have made (I'm not a great artist). There are 42 circles in total, placed in 7 columns. Each column has 6 circles. This model represents 42/7 by splitting 42 into 7 parts, which are the columns, and showing that each column has 6 circles, which is the answer to 42/7.
