The soils in the rainforests are very labile, and they are soils that evolved in environment where they are protected from erosion by the very dense network of root systems.

When the vegetation is cleared, and the soil is exposed, having no natural protection from erosion, the surface layer is washed away very quickly, as it is soft and unprotected. The erosion is mainly caused by the rains that are present almost every day, so the soil can be used only for a couple of years, and than it is useless for farming.

Can I just have a good amount of info on nuclear energy
DerKrebs [107]
Nuclear energy is created during a fission or fusion, and is typically used to generate electricity. Nuclear power plants use the fission or fusion reaction to create the nuclear energy, which generates heat. This heat the power plants use to transform the heat energy into electricity. Fission is where large nuclei are split into smaller nuclei. Fusion is where the small nuclei are put together to create large nuclei. These two reactions create nuclear energy.
