I found the map. I'll attach it.

Based on the color legend, the countries in purple were under the NATO Alliance in 1955;  the countries in yellow were under the Warsaw Pact in 1955, and the countries in light green were unaligned.

What was surprising to you in your research about the slums of Mumbai?
tester [92]
Even though it is slums we are talking about, and we know how terrible the conditions are, still there's always some surprises (negative ones unfortunately). Specifically in Mumbai, it is surprising that big portion of the people living in the slums do not have access to city services, they do not have enough water even thought the city itself is surrounded by water, more then half of the population of Mumbai lives in slums (around 55%), most of the residents do not have toilets and have to pay for public toilets...

The Jones family lives on the western side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and they experience a wet climate much of the year. T
Zarrin [17]

____________________________________________________

Answer:

Your answer would be C). A dry climate with little rainfall

____________________________________________________

Explanation:

The reason why answer choice "C). dry climate with little rainfall" would be the correct answer is because of air masses. The air masses pretty much goes to the western side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The slopes on the western side of the mountain is receiving rainfall, and a lot of it. This means that all of the rain can't pass over to the other side of the mountain due to the fact that there is a lot of rainfall that the clouds have, in which it would be difficult to bring it over to the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The eastern side would receive dry air due to the fact that the dry air is being released to the eastern side from the western side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This would make the eastern side look different from the western side, and would make the eastern side more dryer, while getting little bits of rainfall.
