if you simplify each fraction, it helps to find which one is bigger/smaller. when we look at 4/12, you can see that the numerator (4) can go into the denominator (12). the biggest number you can simplify with is 4 because that’s the numerator. once you divide both the numerator and denominator by 4, you would get 1/3 because 4/4= 1, and 12/4= 3. now when you look at 3/6, you can see that the denominator (6) is divisible by the numerator (3). you can do the same thing with the other fraction. 3/3 equals 1. 6/3 equals 2. 3/6 is equal to 1/2. 1/2 is greater than 1/3 because to get to one, you only have to have 2 halves to make one whole. to make a whole with 1/3, you have to have 3 thirds.
He used it as a means of Capitalism. Capitalism is an individual person controlling another country or state trade through for there own profit. He was controlling it without the states help it was more of he controlled Europe.
