The first step in treating an individual with dissociative identity disorder is to bond with the primary personality or the real person that resides on that individual because the primary personality is the real person or the person who actually came first before other identities started taking part on the individual in which the primary personality is also responsible for creating this additional identities and bonding with the primary personality would help the individual to slowly treat the disorder that he or she is experiencing.
