How many arguments should you have in a good debate

English

You should have 3-5 arguments and a few rebuttles for your apponents arguement.

There is no minimum or maximum number of arguments that you should have in a debate. The number depends on a great variety of factors. When a debate is long and much expected (such as a debate between political candidates), the number of arguments can be very large. In smaller debates, due to the limited time you have available, it is difficult to address more than 3-5 arguments. However, as a general guideline, 3 might be a good minimum standard to set for non-professional debates.

ss7ja [257]

The significance of the conversation between Sierra and her friends about how their neighborhood is changing is the foreshadowing of the shapeshifters.

What is Foreshadowing?

This refers to the literary technique that is used to show the prediction or hint about future events in a story.

Hence, we can see that although your question is incomplete, I can infer that you refer to the book Shapeshifter and the foreshadowing used shows the mayhem that is about to befall the neighborhood when dark shapes begin to move as they are possessed by spirits.

3. If Grendel snatches the men in their sleep, what does this suggest about his character?
Nana76 [90]

Answer:

This suggest that Grendel intends to not meet much resistance.

He isn't considered honorable due to these acts

Explanation:

Snatching the men in their sleep and at night suggests that Grendel does not hope for much resistance from the men. Grendel comes when they're most vulnerable hoping to have an easy kill while the men would not be in the best position to fight back.

This is not a honorable way to attack an enemy.

PLEASE HURRY!!!!!
Reika [66]

Answer:

B. A faster pace would have been more appropriate for the speech’s content and audience.

Explanation:

Mateo is speaking to the audience and refers to the audience as US indicating he is talking to fellow students about the injustice of the strict snow days.

Children are more likely to get bored listening to a talker with a professional tone or if the speaker is being more casual then the audience would think the speech is not important allowing the audience to miss the speech before it has even begun.

But by making the speech faster you are allowing the audience to begin to believe on their own about the injustice and it begins to work up their blood pressure.

Hitler was very good at getting the people to believe in what he wished because he made his speeches short and fast.

What sorts of things/ideas are valued in Henry's world? How are his values different from those of his society
dezoksy [38]

Answer:

Henry's world values things like money and communication between people. This is different from what Henry values, because he likes silence, literature and the company itself, giving no importance to interpersonal relationships.

Explanation:

This question is about "Time Enough at Last" where we know the story of Henry, a man who works in a bank and does not find time or silence to read. That's because Henry loves literature, but all the time people hinder him, even in his own home, where his wife tries at all times to talk to him more.

One day a bomb is dropped on Henry's town and kills everyone but him. When he sees that the world has the silence and tranquility that he values so much, he is happy, because he will have all the books in the world to read, without anyone interrupting him. Meanwhile, Henry falls and breaks his glasses, which he cannot see without. There is no one who can prescribe other glasses for Henry, making him unable to read and living in eternal solitude.
