The Continental Army was established by a resolution of the Continental Congress. The Continental Army under the command of George Washington was created to coordinate the military efforts of the 13 colonies in the rebellion against British rule.The soldiers had no formal military experience, no uniforms, no established commanders and there were limited firearms. The Continental Army were obvious underdogs. However, The Continental Army did have some advantages over the British Army: their soldiers knew the terrain and could make use of this knowledge using defensive tactics. Winds flow outward above the storm allowing the air below to rise. Hurricanes typically form between 5 to 15 degrees latitude north and south of the equator. The Coriolis Force is needed to create the spin in the hurricane and it becomes too weak near the equator, so hurricanes can never form there. So basically, when air rises and starts to spin, it creates a hurricane.
