That depends on what kind of network you are talking about.

In terms of internet, a smaller network is better,  because that means more speed for the people that are doing the work.

In terms of survivability, a larger network is better, for there are more people to be able to obtain collections of necessaries and help them have a higher survival rates

These are just two examples, there are a lot more.

This points out that it depends on the context

frosja888 [35]

Answer:

The five instances in the story 'Beautiful Boy' displaying Nic's behavior common to other drug addicts would be:

1). His frequent lies as reflected by his words which he told his family. He lied about where he was and what he was doing.(“If Nic were not ill he would not lie.")

2). Emotionally hurting the family. He disappears from his home for several days without informing which causes stress to the entire family.(“Anyone who has lived through it, or those who are now living through it, knows that caring about an addict is as complex and fraught and debilitating as addiction itself.”)

3). Terrifying the members of the family while relapsing. He robs David's, as well as, Vicki's home.("If Nic were not ill he would not terrorize his family. He would not forsake his friends, his mother, Karen, Jasper, and Daisy, and he would not forsake me. He would not. He has a disease, but addiction is the most baffling of all diseases, unique in the blame, shame, and humiliation that accompany it.”)

4). Manipulation of statements. Nic keeps on changing his statements and even attempts to convince Jasper and Daisy(his younger siblings) to lie.(If Nic were not ill he would not forsake his family.")

5). His running away in sleepless anguish and unconscionable behavior. He steals Jasper's savings and scaring them. (“An alcoholic will steal your wallet and lie to you. A drug addict will steal your wallet and then help you look for it.”)

All these instances show that Nic's actions and behavior were similar to other drug addicts and underwent a continuous journey of addiction, relapse, and recovery.
