Zhou dynasty ruled China after the overthrow of the previous Shang dynasty. They practiced China for the next few centuries. The biggest change that occurred during the reign of the Zhou dynasty is the so-called Heavenly Mandate. This means that the ruler was chosen by the will of the gods, and in this way the expectations that the Chinese had from their king changed. The ruler must respect and fulfill the will of the gods.

In economic and military terms, this period marked the use of bronze. This contributed to military successes.

With due respect to the gods, as well as the Native Chinese philosophy, with the subsequent growing influence of Confucius, kindness in the treatment of people was necessary. Thus, in individual regions, it is connected nicely and usefully, so the governance in them is entrusted to family members.

How did workers respond to their low wages and working conditions?
lana66690 [7]
There were multiple ways for workers to respond to low wages and poor working conditions. Some would form into unions and either attempt to fix these in ways such as collective bargaining or going on strike. An example of this would be during the Great Railroad Strike. Eastern railroads had announced a 10% wage cut, which angered workers. As such, they went on strike, and they disrupted rail service, destroyed equipment, and rioted in the streets of cities like Pittsburg.

Outline the actions of Mussolini against Greece and evaluate how they affected WWII.
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

I may be wrong but "In late October 1940, Mussolini invaded Greece without warning Hitler, Mussolini retaliating for Hitler not having warned him of his invasions that year, including into France. Britain was allied with Greece and sent a naval force from the Middle East to Greece. The British navy attacked the Italian fleet as it lay at anchor at Taranto in southern Italy. Italy's offensive against Greece broke down, and by late November the Greeks had pushed Mussolini's army back to Albania. Then, on December 9, the British launched an offensive against Italy in North Africa, British forces entering Libya on December 13, 1940."

Which of the following is not true of the Fertile Crescent? a. The Tigris and Euphrates rivers run through the Fertile Crescent.
AleksandrR [38]

Answer:

The correct answer is C. It is not true that societies of the Fertile Crescent believed in equality and communal living.

Explanation:

Mesopotamia is a designation for the area between the Euphrates and the Tigris. Today, its territory roughly corresponds to Iraq, northeastern Syria, southeastern Turkey and southwest Iran.

Mesopotamia was the cradle of civilization. The first Sumerian population appeared in Mesopotamia at the turn of the 4th and 3rd millennium BC. In ancient times, it was divided into northern Assyria and southern Babylon. The upper part of Babylonia was called Akkad and the lower part of Sumer. In 539 BC the Persians of the Achaimen dynasty invaded Babylon, and in 331 BC Alexander the Great, after whose death Babylon became part of the Seleucid Empire.

Around 150 BC Mesopotamia was seized by the Parthians, and in the 2nd century AD the Persians again. In 637, Muslim Arabs took control of Mesopotamia. Since then Mesopotamia has been called El Iraq el'Arabi, as the Arabs called it.
