My teacher asked me a question, my answer was “Je m’appelle Anne.” What was the teacher’s question?

the most correct question would be :

"Comment vous appelez-vous ?"
or "Comment t'appelles-tu ? " this one is more familiar. Sometimes teachers are saying "tu" to the pupils. When they grow up, it's more 'vous".
