The term mimetic is associated with "imitation" so it might be said that during the 1800, literature tried to replicate  or portray real life in the stories. that is to say, novels were based on realism so they were considered unique and a revelation because it was a new way of writing.

Who invented hunting?
timama [110]
One opinion says that hunting was invented by the people who lived
back at the beginning of people.  I think it goes back even farther than
that.

Every living thing that can move around goes hunting for things to eat,
and there were a huge number of living things that could move around,
long before people came along.  Like dinosaurs, bats, cockroaches etc.

So I don't think you can say that hunting was ever invented.  It was just
something that living things just naturally always did, like breathing.

If you're looking for a certain portion of this excerpt that restates the main idea, I would have to say that the first few words explain it very well: "<span>I demand that my books be judged with utmost severity..." The writer of this statement is saying that they wish for their books to only be judged by those who are educated in grammar and logic. </span>
