When writing the rhyme scheme of a poem, we use alphabet order to label the rhyming pattern. The first line is always labeled A since that is the first letter of the alphabet. Any line that rhymes with the first is also labeled A. The next line of the poem that does not rhyme with the first is labeled B. Any line that rhymes with the B line is also labeled B. This pattern continues throughout the poem.
