<u>Explanation</u>:

Colonists were quite unhappy from the Britishers. There were several reasons for this. Britishers were taxing colonists but they rebelled. According to them, British were violating their rights and they had no say in the Parliament. So, they did not pay those taxes.

Colonists used to pay taxes to their own local governments. This way they had a say in the tax laws.  Also, colonists wanted to expand towards the west and claim the land Great Britain received after the 'French-Indian war'.
