1. What advantages does the Virginia Company see in the promotion of family life in the colony?
Andrej [43]

Answer: Stable Settlement

Explanation:

In the early days of the Virginia colony, most of the settlers were men. This created a challenge for the Virginia Company because they figured that if the men were not attached to the colony, they could simply leave and go find somewhere else to settle in order to chase better opportunities.

They therefore encouraged unmarried women to come to the colony in the hopes that when they married the men and had children thereby creating a family, the men would become less likely to leave the colony as the family will have an attachment to Virginia.
