The correct answer should be

use arguments to promote a point of view.

Because an editorial is an article that presents the newspaper's opinion on an issue. Therefore editorial writers must be able to use arguments to promote an opinion or a point of view.

I don't know if this is correct but I would choose B) distinguish between fact and opinion. The reason is because an editorial writer is supposed to make sure everything is fact and accurate, and they are supposed to record information faithfully. On the other hand, reporters tend to twist peoples words and make events seem bigger than what really happened.

Which of the following is an example of supportive communication?
Anna [14]

Answer:

D). "I'm always here if you need help with anything."

Explanation:

Supportive communication is described as the type of communication which is primarily inclined towards attaining particular goals of strengthening the relationship positively with the use of specific techniques like emotions, concern, empathy, and support. The primary goal of such communication is to resolve the conflicts or problem-solving in order to nurture positive energy in the recipient.

In the given question, option D displays the statement that exemplifies a supportive communication as the speaker shows empathy and concern towards the listener and attempts to build/boost confidence(by resolving conflicts) in him/her. This will help the affected person(suffering a problem or stress) i.e. listener to feel positive and more confident in challenging circumstances that would nurture their relationship. Therefore, option D is the correct answer.
