You would divide the total fencing by 7, because there are 3 sides for each square, so that would be 6, and the one side they share would make the total 7.

371/7=53 yards for each side of the squares. The dimensions of the two parcels together  would be 53 by 106.

Monica is solving a quadratic equation. She wants to find the value of x by taking the square root of both sides of the equation
Oksana_A [137]

Answer:

c) x^2 +16x + 64 = 25

Completed question;

Monica is solving a quadratic equation. She wants to find the value of x by taking the square root of both sides of the equation. Which equation allows her to do this?

a) x^2 - 10x - 25 = 14

b)x^2 + 160x +26 = 19

c) x^2 +16x + 64 = 25

d) x^2 - 9x + 81 = 34

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve a quadratic equation by taking the square root of both sides, we should be able to express the equation in the form;

(x + a)^2 = b^2

Or

(x - a)^2 = b^2

From the above options,

Option C looks to give the desired form

x^2 + 16x + 64 = 25

Which can be further factorised as;

(x + 8)^2 = 5^2

(Note: a = 8 and b = 5)

square root of both sides;

x + 8 = +/- 5

x = +5-8 = -3 (solved)

or

x = -5-8 = -13 (solved)

Which expression is equivalent to (2x + 4)2 – (2x2 + 6)?
Anettt [7]

Answer:

The correct option is B). 2x^{2}+16x+10

Step-by-step explanation:

Given function is (2x+4)^{2}-(2x^{2} +6)

On simplifying,

=(2x+4)^{2}-(2x^{2} +6)

=[4x^{2}+16x+16]-(2x^{2} +6)

=4x^{2}+16x+16-2x^{2}-6

=2x^{2}+16x+10

Thus, The correct option is B). 2x^{2}+16x+10

Kitty [74]

First off, why is this in the mathematics section lol. Anyways, the essay looks good, but you can remove some unnecessary information. The reader doesn't need to know that the author is 14. Knowing the age of an author won't help support your argument.

Also, you say, "For example during the pandemic situation there were some quick changes to it like the vaccines being made...".

I would say instead, "During the pandemic, there were some rapid changes that took place to correct the pandemic like the vaccines being made...". Other than that, the essay looks good!
