Geography

About 70% of the Earth's freshwater is found in the form of ice caps and glaciers -it is frozen. Out of this, the majority is actually in one place: covering the continent of Antarctica.

One could argue that there is more water in the oceans, but it's not fresh water- it's salty water, so it's not good to drink.

When a maritime tropical air mass is cooled by a colder ground surface the weather is often A: stays nearly the same but the sur
Kitty [74]

B: becomes foggy or rainy because cool air holds less water vapor.

Explanation:

The maritime tropical air masses are warm and humid, while the air masses forming over the land tend to be dry, in some parts are cold and in some parts hot. When these two collide, the weather rapidly changes. If the maritime tropical air masses moves toward the colder ground surface, then the weather will become foggy or rainy.

The reason for this is that the water vapor in the maritime tropical air mass will start to condensate because of the lower temperatures, so precipitation will form. The precipitation is usually manifested through rainfall, while in the mornings it tends to be foggy.

Mademuasel [1]
ore

An ore is a type of mineral or rock which has a high enough concentration of a desirable element such that it's economical to extract that desired element. This means that the actual concentration of metal in an ore varies quite dramatically depending upon the metal. For instance, Bauxite, which is the ore for aluminum contains approximately 15% to 25% aluminum. But for gold, it's not uncommon to profitably extract 1 ounce of gold from several tons of rock.

You probably noticed that the ages of the volcanoes do not always decrease linearly toward the present location of the hotspot.
Brrunno [24]

Answer:

There is a gradual decline of volcanic age form the continental to the oceanic. As some of the volcanoes get eroded away.

Explanation:

 • The hotspot volcanoes are transported by plate movements as they move away form the mantel plumes the hotspot volcanism decreases. Then eventually the hotspots become extinct.
 • Thus on the basis of age the youngest are near the places active tectonism where the magma is directly ground underneath the ground surface.
