When we have already created ideas about something and if these ideas are not supported by real facts, then we say that we have prejudices. Prejudice is formed opinions and does not represent a high self-esteem, since we refuse to face the real facts that might change our conviction,  and accept that we were wrong. Thus, refusing to accept and consider the potential evidence that would show us that we were wrong, and yet caused a conflict in us, is the lack of critical thinking.

By adopting the belief that they are superior, they feel that they have the right to kill and execute members of different cultures like animals. This also make them feel that they are the most suitable rulers for the world, which they use to justify their actions when they invade neighbouring countries.
