Hello!

Let's subtract the $25 because she's paying that no matter what:

55 - 25 = 30

Now, divide that by the cost per mile:

30 / 0.10 = 300

We can double check using multiplication:

0.10 × 300 = 30

Yolanda can drive less than 300 miles within her budget.

Start by finding an equation with what is given in the question
y=0.1x+25
Sub in 54.99 for y and solve for x
54.99=0.1x=25
54.99-25=0.1x
29.99=0.1x
29.99/0.1=x
x=299.9 miles or less than 300 miles
Therefore Yolanda (what kind of name is that?!) must drive less than 300 miles in order to get to her budget.
hope this helps!

Answer:

Part 3: 9 Dogs

Step-by-step explanation:

It says that the ratio they want you to put it in is dogs/students, so dogs are x, and students are y, so if there are 4 students for every dog, 36 students would require 9 dogs

And if the roles were switched it would be students x, dogs y, and there would be 9 students for 36 dogs :D

Answer:

0x+2y=22

Step-by-step explanation:

Set them equal to each other, (5x+4y=25)-(5x+2y=3). Distribute the negative into the right equation, (5x+4y=25)(-5x-2y=-3). Then combine like terms to get your answer.
