European people were interested in good from Asia, to sell them at high prices and make a fortune

Explanation:

There were several goods in Asia that were not available in Europe, the reason why merchants saw them as a good way of make a fortune, some of these goods were Pepper and cinnamon from India, and Silk, porcelain and jewels from China. Later with all the difficulties to trade with these countries, these objects became more valuable therefore more expensive and there was an increase in demand for them.
