Answer:

British monarchy.

Explanation:

The fantasy story of "Rip van Winkle" by Washington Irving tells the events around the character Rip Van Winkle and how he had 'slept' through the whole American revolution. His new atmosphere after his 'sleep' brought about a huge change in his life.

Mr. Winkle had 'escaped' his wife's haranguing to the forest where he enjoyed a drink with a group of weird strangers. this drink left him sleeping but when he woke up, he found that everything has changed. Once back to the village, he proclaimed his loyalty to "the king'', not knowing that the American nation had attained freedom from the Britishers. He spent his remaining life living quietly with his children and grandchildren.

Thus, the government that the colonies of the American nation were rid f was the British monarchy.

madam [21]

Answer:

The answer is that "women shouldn't unite because men won't listen to what they are saying".

Explanation:

This obviously is the opinion of the second speaker.

Speaker one said that "women should unite to free themselves from the control of men"

Speaker three also gave his own opinion as: " women should blame and hate Nature for the inequalities

women need men to live because men provide everything for women".

The second speaker negates the opinion of other speakers by saying that "women shouldn't unite because men won't listen to what they are saying".

How has researching your future career changed or affirmed your perspective on your current career goals?
stepladder [879]

Here is a sample of how researching my future career has influenced my perspective of my current career goals:

  • I have always liked the idea of being a Civil Engineer but my research on this career goal shows that this job is demanding and might require that I work on buildings with tall heights. I have a fear of heights, so I have decided to change this career goal to being a Physicist.

Proper research on our intended careers can reveal aspects of it that do not really fit into our expectations or capabilities.

My online and offline research on the duties of Civil Engineers entailed revealed that they most times had to ascend heights where they worked on structures.

My fear of heights dissuaded me from pursuing this career. So, I have decided to rather be a laboratory Physicist.

Slav-nsk [51]

Answer:

The question violates the requirement of clarity or unambiguity.

Explanation:

The science of designing appropriate questions comes up when one is in designing a questionnaire for surveys.

The guidelines for writing questions are given below:

  1. Questions must always be designed with the objective of the research in mind;
  2. They must be concise, direct to the point and easy to understand. In other words, they must be unambiguous.
  3. They must be designed to elicit objective answers, not emotional responses. Emotional responses may not come from a lucid mind.
  4. Questions must follow each other sequentially and logically.
  5. If the questions are closed-ended, they must contain options from which the respondents can select
  6. Whether closed-ended or not, the researcher must as much as possible put themselves in the shoes of the respondents such that any inhibitions from properly or correctly answer the questions are removed.

Cheers!
