The <em>Great White Fleet</em> was a nickname given to a US Navy fleet who was assigned the task of navigating around the globe. The mission started on December 16th, 1907 and successfully ended on February 22nd, 1909. The fleet made numerous visits to foreign countries in order to establish good relationships, as well as display the United State's naval power to the world.
