Joan of Arc is a famous woman in history revered by the French who fought in the Hundred Years War. She was captured at the age of 19 and executed by the English. After her execution, England never regained ground in the war. The French eventually won the war and reclaimed the land they lost to the English. This caused England to retreat to being an island nation.  <span />

Well Pope Callixtux III declared Joan as innocent of her crimes. At this time she was beginning to become a martyr. And later in 1920 she became canonized. (An official declaration of Sainthood) Every year on may 8th at Orleans, a pageant re-enacts Joan's entry into the city. The french valued Joan very much and still do today hundreds of years after her death.

kari74 [83]

The Bill of Rights are the first 10 amendments in the Constitution. These were put in after people wanting certain freedoms and rights in America. Federalists supported the amendments along with the Constitution because it gave people individual liberty, but Anti-Federalists felt as if the Constitution and its amendments gave the President and government too much power and the people should essentially self-govern and make their own laws.
