Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919) was one of the most successful businessmen and most recognized philanthropists in history. His entrepreneurial ventures in America's steel industry earned him millions and he, in turn, made great contributions to social causes such as public libraries, education and international peace.

Bad:

Andrew Carnegie, the most contradictory of the robber barons: he supported workers' rights, but destroyed unions; and when he acquired the largest fortune in US history, he tried to give it away.

The government was treating the Indians very brutally and forcing them to leave their land by crushing force.

In the middle of 1800, all the Indians in eastern moved to the Mississippi River which is now known as Oklahoma and the US government named them as “Civilized” which meant they are weak and powerless to cause trouble. So, many of the Indians agreed to follow the white men that are their policies.

But the western grasslands’ Indians were different and decided not to resist their policies and denied to give up their lifestyle. In 1862, there were Indians who were still living peacefully with the whites, suddenly turned against them as they were getting paid less for which they were not able to afford food and remained hunger. As a result, their hunger turned into anger and a local Indian chief with his men declared a war.

The New England colonies would trade for a living.

<span> Most of the trading was done by New Englanders because the farming was bad there and so that was a good way to earn a living. Some of the objects that were trading are fish, whale products, ships, timber products, furs, maple syrup, copper, livestock products, and rum.  The people that traded were called merchants and they would deliver the objects to other parts of the 13 colonies and some of them would deliver to England and China too. </span>
