On the opposite side, a British armed force of Hessian troopers held the town of Trenton. It was likewise Christmas and, with a frigid and perilous waterway between the two armed forces, it didn't seem to be multi day for battling. The Hessian troopers most likely idea the exact opposite thing the American Army would do was an assault in these awful conditions.
