You buy a basket of 24 strawberries. You eat them as you walk to the beach. It takes the same amount of time to walk each block.

When you are halfway there, half of the. Series are gone. After walking 3 more blocks,you still have 5 blocks to go. You reach the beach 28 minutes after you began. One sixth of your strawberries are left. How many blocks did you walk in 28 minutes? At this rate how long does it take to walk a block?

Half the distance is 3 blocks plus 5 blocks = 8 blocks. You walked 16 blocks in 28 minutes, or
.. (28 minutes)/(16 blocks) = 28/16 minute/block = 1.75 minutes/block

It takes 1 minute 45 seconds to walk a block.

Answer:

1\frac{3}{4} minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

let the number of strawberries be 24

halfway, half strawberries remain, therefore, let the distance be = x

at x, the number of strawberries  = 12

the distance is given by x + 3 + 8

The time taken  = 28 minutes, the number of strawberries remaining  \frac{1}{6} * 24\\= 4

number of strawberries eaten  = 24 - 4

                                                    = 20

number or blocks = 15

time = 1\frac{3}{4} minutes

PLEASEEEEE<br>Solve for x. A. 13 B. 12 C. 10 D. 7
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

Option (C)

Step-by-step explanation:

"If the two secants are drawn to a circle form an external points then the product of the measures of one secant segment (inside the circle) and its external segment will be equal to the product of measures of the other secant's segments."

By this property,

8(8 + x) = 9(9 + 7)

64 + 8x = 144

8x = 144 - 64

8x = 80

x = 10

Therefore, Option (C) will be the answer.
