A sentence parts form parts of a basic vocabulary of grammar. The subject will tell who or what the sentence is about. A predicate of a sentence will include the verb and everything else that follows it. In addition to that, a sentence can include optional parts such as the objects which are noun phrases that are included in the predicate. A complement occurs when the predicate uses linking verbs rather than action verbs to modify the subject by describing it further.
