Answer: During G1 and G2 in the cell cycle growth of the cell occurs. 

Explanation:  In the beginning G1 prepares the cells fresh out of mitosis for another round of DNA replication by making the necessary proteins and organelles. The second growth phase starts to prepare the cells with newly replicated DNA for entry into the mitosis phase by putting in place the necessary organelles for mitosis.
