SEE ATTACHED IMAGE TO OBSERVE THE GRAPH OF THE FUNCTION.
 For this case, the first thing we should see are the cut points with the x axis.
 We note that the graph cuts to the x-axis at x = -2
 Therefore, x = -2 is the real solution to the polynomial.
 Also this function:
 x3 + 6x2 + 12x + 8
 It can be rewritten as:
 (x + 2) ^ 3
 From where we conclude that its roots are:
 x = -2 (with multiplicity 3)
 Answer:

the equation x3 + 6x2 + 12x + 8 = 0 have:

x = -2

As a real solution with multiplicity 3.

You didn't show the graph.
Anyway, that equation is a perfect cube and equals
(x +2)^3
or (x +) * (x +) * (x +)
Therefore, it has 3 real number solutions and ALL of those solutions equal -2

How can division be represented by using a fraction?
IRINA_888 [86]
A fraction is just the easier, cleaner way of writing a division problem

the numerator is the number you are dividing

the denominator is the number you are dividing with

EX- 2 divided by 3 as a fraction is

In the diagram below, ST is parallel to PQ. If ST is 4 more than PS,SR = 12, and PQ = 15, find the length of PS. Figures are not
Tpy6a [65]

Since segments ST and PQ are parallel, triangles SRT and PRQ are similar due to the AAA postulate. In general, the ratio between the corresponding sides of two similar triangles is constant; therefore,

\frac{SR}{PR}=\frac{RT}{RQ}=\frac{TS}{QP}

Furthermore,

PS=PR-RS

Finding PR and RS,

\begin{gathered} ST=4+PS \\ SR=12 \\ PQ=15 \end{gathered}

Then,

\frac{12}{PR}=\frac{TS}{15}\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow\frac{12}{PR}=\frac{4+PS}{15} \\ \Rightarrow\frac{12}{PS+12}=\frac{4+PS}{15} \end{gathered}

Solving for PS,

\begin{gathered} 12\cdot15=(PS+12)(PS+4) \\ \Rightarrow180=PS^2+16PS+48 \end{gathered}

Solve the quadratic equation in terms of PS, as shown below

\begin{gathered} \Rightarrow PS^2+16PS-132=0 \\ \Rightarrow PS=\frac{-16\pm\sqrt[]{16^2-4(-132)}}{2}=\frac{-16\pm28}{2} \\ \Rightarrow PS=-22,6 \end{gathered}

And PS is a segment; therefore, it has to be positive.

Hence, the answer is PS=6

If f(x) = 4x ^ 2 and g(x) = x + 1 , find (fg)(x) ).
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

\boxed{\sf \ C \ is \ the \ correct \ answer \ ! \ }

Step-by-step explanation:

fog(x)=f(g(x))

so it comes

f(g(x))=f(x+1)=4(x+1)^2

<u>so C is the correct answer</u>
