Kepler devised three laws to explain: B) the motion of the planets.

According to the first law, a planet revolves around the Sun in a path similar to 1) an ellipse with the Sun fixed at one of its focus points.

Johannes Kepler(1571-1630) was an astronomer who discover the three laws of planetary movement.

These are the complete set of laws that describe the motion of planets.

1.- The Law of Ellipses. The path of the planets about the sun is elliptical in shape, with the center of the sun being located at one focus.

2.- The Law of Equal Areas. An imaginary line drawn from the center of the sun to the center of the planet will sweep out equal areas in equal intervals of time.

3.- The Law of Harmonies. The ratio of the squares of the periods of any two planets is equal to the ratio of the cubes of their average distances from the sun.

What is the most likely reason it was difficult to pass laws under the articles of confederation?
katen-ka-za [31]
The articles weakness was that they gave the federal government so little power that it couldn't keep the country united. The articles were abandoned for the constitution. The articles confederation did not give the federal government the power to tax. The articles of confederation did not have an executive branch in other words no president. The articles of confederation did not have a judicial branch to resolve disputes and set policy. It was very difficult to pass laws under the Articles of Confederation 9/13 of the states had to agree and almost impossible to revise the Articles the need every state to agree in order to make a change.

What did the Georgia Platform include? Check all that apply.
kondaur [170]

Answer:

Drawn up by Charles J. Jenkins and adopted by a state convention on Dec. 10, 1850, at Milledgeville, the Georgia Platform consisted of a set of resolutions accepting the Compromise of 1850. It was not an endorsement of the compromise, but it said that Georgia would abide by the compromise provisions “as a permanent adjustment of the sectional controversy.”

The Georgia Platform warned that the state would and should resist any future congressional activity disrupting the interstate slave trade, weakening the fugitive slave laws, or abolishing slavery in the District of Columbia. Such activity could well prompt a dissolution of the Union, according to the Georgia Platform.
