They effect elections as they both have different people and different thoughts and beliefs on how a country should be ran. This effects elections because some people will agree with one party whereas others may agree with the opposite, thus causing competition when it comes to voting in elections
So, Dr. Faustus is an embodiment of curiosity gone wild. His blase attitude towards humanistic science is, however, some kind of a scientific decadence: he casts away philosophy and law, to embrace magic, as a relic of medieval obsession over mysticism. In this regard, he is a subversion of the Renaissance Man. He thinks he has already learned all there was to learn about this world, so now he yearns for another kind of knowledge - esoteric, otherworldly, knowledge that isn't exactly a knowledge because you don't have to study long and hard for it, you just have to sell your soul to Lucifer.
Dudley Randall's poem “Ballad of Birmingham” is a tribute to a real-life church bombing in 1963, which killed four young girls. The main theme is that nothing - not even a mother's love or the sacred walls of a church - can protect an innocent child from racial violence.

The following lines show us that Haemon believes that the opinions of the Theban citizens should be heeded:

The citizens, according to Haemon, are too scared of defying Creon; however, Haemon can hear their objections to his decision, and he knows that they are on Antigone's side. They believe she is dying unfairly, and he respects their opinion, which is why he brings it to his father.
