Shay's rebellion was a revolt by people living in Western Massachusetts who felt they were unfairly taxed and were spending a lot more money than they were being paid to pay diverse funds for the government. The main causes for the up rise were economic terrorism by the government which was seen as very far away from rural areas and corruption by the government. This then showed the American government that they needed a stronger government to handle revolts from the citizens, which was something they needed a stronger handle over in their opinion. <span />

What is the most persuasive aspect of William Landon’s argument about power?
jasenka [17]
In 1936, Landon sought the Republican presidential nomination opposing the re-election of Roosevelt. ... Landon proved to be an ineffective campaigner who rarely traveled. Most of the attacks on Roosevelt and Social Security were developed by Republican campaigners rather than Landon himself.

Given what you know about the creation of the Constitution, why was the Tenth Amendment important?
zmey [24]

Hi!

I have the answer you're looking for. I just went over this in History.

The Tenth Amendment was added to the Constitution of 1787 largely because of the intellectual influence and personal persistence of the Anti-Federalists and their allies. It's quite clear that the Tenth Amendment was written to emphasize the limited nature of the powers delegated to the federal government.

Hope this helps!
