Why are Eastern and western Europe considered perceptual regions

History
1 answer:
emmasim [6.3K]3 years ago

This is because both of these regions have specific subjective opinions about these areas which reflect their feelings and images. What this means is that both West and East in Europe were influenced by particular political ideologies - West by democracy, whereas East was influenced by communism. Even today, Eastern and Western Europe are quite reflective of those ideologies.

Is the President or the Congress better able to "check" the Supreme Court when it has overstepped it's authority?
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

President

Explanation:

The president has the ability to veto the supreme court's decision regardless of their choice. Since the President is not technically mandated to carry out the orders of the Supreme Court...the enforcement power lies solely with the executive branch (aka president).

Congress can't veto or stop the decision of supreme court.

What were the Pros and Cons of John Quincy Adams
Advocard [28]
In order to head off the threat of war, Adams built up the armed forces of the U.S. to respectable proportions; he has justly been called the Father of the American Navy. In a series of naval skirmishes with France, only one of the new American ships was lost, while 85 French vessels were sunk or captured. This formidable military establishment (later dismantled by Jefferson) helped protect American independence and ensured peace during Adams's term.
CON
The military buildup under Adams went far beyond what was necessary, and the people--especially poor farmers--paid dearly for it in increased taxes. In both his military and financial programs, Adams was often unable to control his own cabinet, which was unduly influenced by his archenemy, Alexander Hamilton.
