Woodrow Wilson points were considered by France and Italy but the British were unwilling to cooperate, keeping a large fleet overseas.

Since UK delegates met with the Allies and directly blamed Germany, explicitly stating as a notion to be included in the treaty of Versailles.

Germany's army was to be limited in size and prohibited an air force, but the winning Allies were to keep their large armies.

The 14 points by US delegation headed by Wilson were a peace offer to German and Austrian Empires, with honorable means in terms of equals.

The US did not ratify the Treaty noticing it favored the UK and the points were abandoned.

The "Irreconcilables" a group of Republicans opposed the Versailles Treaty <u>since it had little to do with the initial US proposal for peace. The points were seen as to idealistic and ultimaltely were abandonned.</u>
