He wanted freedom for India from the British. He did several things to reject British goods like Salt, and Cotton. He had people march for salt of the coast of Arabian Sea. He also made people burn British clothes and he decided to make his own clothes by using a giant wheel to spin cotton and made his famous clothes like the dothi. which he wore later in life.
Mass production of goods resulted in the use of mechanization to have an oversupply. Some labor work were replaced by machines, which created unemployment and change of needed skills for an upgrade. Common work can be done by machines while the craft was still handed down to skilled workers. There was a high demand for buying machines that can reproduce products faster.
The democrats and republicans have influenced our current political system by sharing most of the same values and views with the American people. As their party members and those who associate themselves tend to lead more toward what the party wants.
