Answer:

A's received by Dina is 35.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

number of A’s  received  by Pete, Chris, and Dina on their report cards were in a ratio of 4:2:5.

Let the

A's received by Pete = 4x

A's received by Chris = 2x

A's received by Dina = 5x

This, is done so that ratio of 4:2:5 remains intact.

Now, given  Pete got 14 more A’s than Chris got

Thus, writing it mathematically

A's got by Pete = A's got be Chris + 14

we will be using A's got Pete and Chris in term of x as defined above

4x = 2x+ 14

=> 4x - 2x = 14

=> 2x = 14

=> x = 14/2 = 7

A's received by Dina = 5x = 5*7 = 35( Answer).

Which of the points listed is the same distance from the y-axis as the point (
timofeeve [1]

Option A is the correct answer

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1 :

The given points are

A (4,-3.75)

B (2,-7.5)

C (7.5,-2).

We need to find which point is at the same distance from the y axis as the point (

-4, 7.5). Let P =  (

-4, 7.5)

The distance of a point from the y axis is given by the x co ordinate of the point.

So here the distance of the point P from the y axis is 4. (It is placed on the negative x axis because the x co ordinate  = -4.)

Step 2 :

So all points which has x co ordinate as 4 or -4 will be at the same distance from the y axis as the given point P.

From the given points A B and C, we can see that the point A has 4 as its x co ordinate.

So the point A is at the same distance from the y axis as the given point P

Step 3 :

Answer :

Option A is the correct answer

Find hcf of x³y and x⁴y³<br>no a and d
Ierofanga [76]

Answer:

See solutions below

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Given the expressions

x³y and x⁴y³

Find their factors

x³y = (x * x * x * y)

x⁴y³ = (x * x * x * y) * x * y * y

GCF = x*x*x*y

GCF = x³y

The expressions in parenthesis is the GCF. Hence the GCF of x³y and x⁴y³ is x³y

b) For 48m⁶n⁵p⁴ and 20m⁴n⁵p⁶

48m⁶n⁵p⁴ =12 * (4 * m⁴ * n⁵ * p⁴) * m²

20m⁴n⁵p⁶ = 5 * (4 * m⁴ * n⁵ * p⁴) * p²

GCF is the expression common to both terms

GCF = 4 * m⁴ * n⁵ * p⁴

GCF = 4m⁴n⁵p⁴
