It talks about the past because the way the word is meant to be said relates to someone's actions in the past and/or someones actions that were interrupted. Let me know if you need more help on this.
Hope it helps though

Mi padre
marishachu [46]

For this case we can translate the sentence given as:

My father__________ watching the game on television.

The sentence refers to a third person masculine and singular.

We conjugate the verb "preferir" indicatively in imperfect preterite (Verb tense that expresses a past action while it is taking place).

yo prefería

tú preferías

él prefería

nosotros preferíamos

vosotros preferíais

ellos preferían

So, the correct way is "él prefería""

Answer:

Mi padre prefería mirar el partido por la television.

What is wrong
nikklg [1K]

Answer:

C. "La fecha" should be changed to "el fecha."

Explanation:

Está means which and that would be "Which is today's date."

Cómo means how and that would be "How is today's date."

La fecha and el fecha both mean the same thing, "What is today's date."

Based off of this, I think C would be the best option.

Spanish is not my first language, please make note I am just trying to help :)
