What is the difference between magma and lava?

Magma is molten rock made underneath earths crust while lava is molten rock that is flowing on top of earths surface.

Magama is on the inner\bottom surface of the crust and lava is on the outer surface. So when magma comes out it becomes lava.

logging trees is often controversial. why would some people support logging and some people not support logging?

Supply and demand. There is a demand for wood for paper, house building, home projects etc. It is a necessary evil. Logging destroys plant and animal habitats but wood is a renewable resource, therefore, logging companies are not going to stop anytime soon.
