In Reagan's speech how does he say essentially that the American Way is better than the Soviet Way?
liubo4ka [24]

Answer:

Check Explanation

Explanation:

During Ronald Reagan Administration, his opposition to the Soviet Union was widely know. He funded anti anti-communist “freedom fighters” in counties like Afghanistan, Angola, and other countries who were greatly involved with Communism in order to destroy a worldwide communist influence.

In his speech on March 8, 1984 he described the Soviet Union as a Evil Empire. He strategically mention that the American ways was better than the Soviet way in his speech when he said that " The glory of this land has been its capacity for transcending the moral evils of our past. For example, the long struggle of minority citizens for equal rights, once a source of disunity and civil war, is now a point of pride for all Americans. We must never go back. There is no room for racism, anti-Semitism, or other forms of ethnic and racial hatred in this country". He specially called the Soviet Union as a country that support both racism and semitism. He also elaborated when he speak on the usage of nuclear weapons in the world when he said " I intend to do everything I can to persuade them of our peaceful intent, to remind them that it was the West that refused to use its nuclear monopoly in the forties and fifties for territorial gain and which now proposes 50-percent cut in strategic ballistic missiles and the elimination of an entire class of land-based, intermediate-range nuclear missiles" . In this speech, one would understand that he clearly stated that the United States of America has never use it Nuclear powers for selfish gain unlike the Soviet Union who believes in totalitarian rule and expansion.
