Technological advancements in almost all fields of study (medicine, finance, literature, etc...) have contributed to the development and increase of the U.S economy, as new businesses and products are being created which boost revenue and overall GDP.

Chicano Movement also refered to as EI Movimiento was a social and political movement in the USA inspired by acts of resistance among people of Mexican descent especially of Pachucos in the 1940s and 50s.

The methods of resistance included - Boycotts, Direct Action, Draft Evasion, Occupations, Protests, School walkouts etc.

The leading figures were Cesar Chavez, Reies Lopex Tijerina, Dr. Hector P. Garcia, Rosalio Munoz etc.

This movement was also influenced by the black power movement. Chicano Movement encompassed many issues like land grants, farm workers' rights, educational rights etc.

There was a huge play of women in the movement and that is why it's one of the oldest protests by feminists and feminist ideas.
