Read this excerpt from a short story. Liam navigated the busy park, scanning the crowd for his friends. They had agreed to meet

at the water slide, and soon the towering steps came into view. He spotted Rachel and Marco by the inner tubes, and soon the three were racing to the top of the slide. There were over a hundred wooden stairs to climb, but the friends usually climbed them without pause. This time, however, their progress was slowed by a surprising mid-day crowd. Spiraling up the stairs were dozens of eager park patrons, each gripping a slippery tube. Liam shook his head and told his friends they would need a little more patience than usual waiting for their favorite view from the top. What complication is introduced in the excerpt?

Which is true of a reading response paper?
Ratling [72]

A. Formal voice must be used.  FALSE ( On the contrary, expressions such as "I believed..." "I thought..." and expressing opinions is encouraged)

B. An informal voice may be used.  TRUE

C. First person should never be used.  FALSE ( The reading response paper, also called a reaction paper) has to be written in the 1st person. You have an idea of what you are going to write or defend, and you have to back up your story with opinions or personal beliefs)

D. Third person should always be used. FALSE

However, there is not absolute true or false, as you still need to write a formal assessment of the work you're observing (such as a film, a work of art, a piece of music, a speech, a marketing campaign, or a written work), but you will also add your own personal reaction and impressions to the report.

1. Derek was doing his homework on his computer one night when he saw an ad banner for a free Gamebox 9000. He clicked on the ad
Shkiper50 [21]
The theme of the story is to not trust everything that's out there. In the beginning of the story, Derek believed that he was going to be able to get a Gamebox 9000 for free by doing all of these requirements. By the third tier, that is when he realized that it was all a scam. This story shows readers that not everything should be trusted.
