I had to look for the options and here is my answer. Based on T.S Eliot's "The Wasteland", it consists of opening lines that are quite connected to Geoffrey Chaucer's "Canterbury Tales" opening lines but the feelings expressed are different. Therefore, the statement that shows this difference is this: The imagery in The Waste Land describes April as cruel, but Chaucer portrays the showers of April as sweet and bathing the roots of flowers. Hope this helps.

Write an e-mail to the Principal of the neighboring school requesting
Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

Letter to the principal of the neighboring school requesting for teachers to be sent to help judge the Poem recitation competition in my school.

Explanation:

To,

The Principal,

ABC Public School

..................

18 May 2017

Subject: Request for teachers to be sent to our school to judge the Poem Recitation competition.

Respected Sir,

Greetings on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Poem recitation organization.

Our school is going to organize a poem recitation competition for the next few days for which we would like to request if the teachers from your school are allowed to join as the judges. This has been decided to prevent any form of partiality among the teachers from our school, for which ‘outside’ teachers would be free from.

I would like to request you if you could kindly send us some teachers to help judge the Poem Recitation Competition organized by our school. It would be of great help if you could help us out.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Adam Driver
